Information Technology (IT) Support Engineer

Classification: Full-time
Working Hours:  Office hours per policy or hours dictated by workload; Occasional after hours, weekends and holidays 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in related field and/or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of two years progressive work experience in information / systems   technology
  • Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office Products and Internet Browsers
  • Report Writer skills using Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Network and database site administration skills preferred
  • SharePoint Portal experience preferred
  • Ability to keep accurate records and meet established guidelines
  • Possess strong organization and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to exercise initiative and make judgment calls within scope of assigned authority
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable automobile, and proof of automobile insurance

SUMMARY   

   The IT Support Engineer is responsible for providing customer service to staff by providing help desk support.  Help desk support includes ensuring the security and connectivity of all desktops, laptops, printers and cellphones, as well as the repairs of equipment and/or software, upgrades of hardware/software, and resolving questions and issues from staff about technical issues.  The IT Support Engineer will also be responsible for providing staff training related to IT issues, development of various data report using SQL and assisting with network administration duties.
