Kidney disease was hereditary in the Baxter family, causing Lisa, her six siblings and a few relatives to undergo dialysis. Lisa spent 12 years on dialysis before receiving her transplant. Not allowing her adversity to overtake her mind, she became an advocate and made it her mission to give hope to others, letting them know they could still live a good life while on dialysis. Baxter joins ARTavius and chats about her journey to transplantation on the third episode of the “Stories of Hope podcast.”
