College sophomore and student-athlete Edward Drake was abruptly diagnosed with kidney failure after a routine physical. Doctors were alarmed by his abnormally high blood pressure results and immediately sent him to the emergency room. They soon discovered his kidneys had completely shut down and needed dialysis treatment ASAP. On his journey of dialysis for three years, he found his purpose and created an organization that helped pediatric patients worldwide who were on dialysis. Now 13 years post-kidney transplant, Edward joins ARTavius and chats about his journey to transplantation on the fifth episode of the “Stories of Hope podcast.”
