As a Mid-South Transplant Foundation (MSTF) Ambassador (volunteer), you can make a difference in your community. You have the power to help heal and save lives by raising awareness about the need for organ and tissue donors and educating others on the transformative impact of donation.
My son chose to give his organs so that others might live. In supporting the mission of Mid-South Transplant Foundation, I honor the gifts of life from my son and other donors and their families. Being an Ambassador is important work that brings me satisfaction and peace.

MSTF provides training for all Ambassadors. There are many exciting ways to get involved and opportunities available to meet your specific interests and schedule. Whether you have a personal story to share or simply feel strongly about donation, the MSTF Ambassador Program needs you.
Share your story with middle school, high school, college or driving school classes to illustrate the positive impact donation has had on your life. Educating students about donation is critical.
Staff a registration/information table at various types of events in your community to engage with the public, hand out donation materials, answer questions and assist with donor registration. We make every effort to schedule two Ambassadors for every time slot so that you have opportunities to interact with other volunteers and increase your knowledge about donation and our organization.
Share your story with a small group or larger audience. Speaking engagements may involve civic, business, medical, social or religious organizations. If you’re not sure whether public speaking is for you, don’t worry. MSTF Ambassadors can observe at first, learn more about organ and tissue donation and determine their comfort level.
Assist with event preparation, mailings and other office work.
Become a communication champion for donation. We may ask you to help promote organ and tissue donation by participating in media events, such as one-on-one interviews or panel discussions. Your testimony or photo may become part of an information campaign aimed at encouraging others to register. We use all forms of media to get the word out – websites, social media, TV, radio, brochures, billboards, bus signage and more.
Take the Donate Life message to your workplace or go with us to visit other participating organizations. Invite us to be part of an employee health fair or speak at a brown bag lunch at your office. We’ll work with you to help you tell your story to colleagues and promote donation within your organization.
As an Ambassador, you will regularly receive information on upcoming volunteer opportunities. There are no minimum monthly or annual volunteer hours required. You volunteer when it’s convenient for you – when the event fits your schedule and interests you. MSTF Ambassadors are critical to our mission as an organization dedicated to serving others.
