Volunteers Make a Difference

Volunteers are key to our success. Many volunteers are recipients or donor families, so their personal stories and knowledge of the process and success of transplantation have a tremendous impact on others. But we welcome and encourage anyone who’s passionate about organ and tissue donation to explore opportunities to get involved.

Volunteers are needed in every aspect of public and professional education. The Mid-South Transplant Volunteer Ambassador Program is designed to connect volunteers with available training and the resources to educate individuals about the benefits of organ and tissue donation. Contact us for information about upcoming sessions.

About the Volunteer Ambassador Program

Volunteers have always been a vital part of the education efforts at Mid-South Transplant Foundation. With more than 115,000 people on the waiting list for a life-saving transplant and another name added to the national organ transplant waiting list every 10 minutes, the need for volunteers continues to grow.

We know most people are aware of the importance of organ and tissue donation, but there are still myths and misconceptions out there, and additional education is needed so we can move forward together to save lives.
