Mid-South Transplant Foundation is committed to helping students make an educated decision when it comes to answering the important question: “Would you like to save lives today by being a registered organ and tissue donor?”
When students receive their permit, driver’s license or state identification card, they will be asked that question at the Driver Services Center. This is a very important decision that gives them the power to save up to eight people and enhance the lives of more than 75 others. If they are already driving, they can update their wishes online anytime.
Their decision is legally binding and cannot be changed by anyone but them. If they are under 18, their parent or legal guardian has the option to affirm or alter their decision. It is important for them to discuss their donation decision with their family.
The Educators Resource Guide covers topics that include: (we’ll compare this to Mary’s Curriculum and add links to Video, Form, Quiz and to handouts)
