Wanda Peperone | Director of Operations – Organs

Wanda Rook Peperone, RN, MSN is responsible for the oversight and management of the organ recovery, kidney perfusion, family care – organ and hospital services departments. The DCOO is responsible for developing and maintaining policies and procedures related to organ recovery operations, as well as maintaining responsibility for evaluating and analyzing departmental operational plans, monitoring and maintaining performance indicators and recommending opportunities for future growth. The DCOO is responsible for personnel management of staff within his/her departments to include, but not limited to, monitoring, training and professional development, assisting with performance issue identification and resolution and making recommendations for promotional opportunities. The DCOO ensures all work is in compliance with federal, state and industry requirements. Peperone joined MSTF in 2020 as the Manager of Hospital Services and was promoted in 2022 to Director of Clinical Operations – Organ.

Prior to joining MSTF, Wanda served as the Chief Nursing Officer for Saint Francis Hospital Bartlett where she was responsible for the Nursing department including regulatory, compliance, patient safety, and quality initiatives. Wanda has been a donor champion since beginning her career as a Critical Care / Emergency Department RN in 1985, promoting donation at the bedside and continuing that path throughout her numerous progressive leadership roles in the Methodist Healthcare System and Saint Francis Healthcare System. In addition, she joined the MSTF Advisory Board in 2013 and was the Chair of the MSTF Advisory Board from 2016-2019.

A graduate of Methodist School of Nursing, Peperone received her Bachelor’s degree from St. Francis University and her Masters of Nursing from the University of Memphis Loewenberg School of Nursing in Memphis, TN. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), and the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO).
